Rajasthan Minister Jogaram Patel addressed key national and electoral issues in Jaipur, highlighting the government’s handling of global crises and defending the ongoing voter list revision process.

Speaking on India’s response to international challenges, Jogaram Patel praised Narendra Modi, stating that under his leadership, the country has managed to shield its citizens from major disruptions during difficult times. He referred to situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent tensions in West Asia.

He said that whether it was the pandemic or global conflicts, the government ensured that Indian citizens faced minimal difficulties, reflecting strong leadership and effective crisis management.

Jogaram Patel’s remarks come in the context of the recent US–Iran ceasefire and the broader West Asia tensions, which had raised concerns globally over economic stability, energy supplies, and security. He suggested that despite such challenges, India has been able to maintain stability and protect its citizens.

In a separate statement, the minister also spoke about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists, explaining that the process is a legal and necessary exercise conducted by the Election Commission of India.

He emphasized that SIR is a regular and legally mandated process that has been carried out multiple times in the past to update electoral rolls. According to him, the purpose of the revision is to ensure that only eligible voters are included in the list while removing duplicate or ineligible entries.

Jogaram Patel added that such verification exercises help maintain the integrity of elections and ensure fairness in the democratic process. He stated that the Election Commission follows established legal provisions while conducting these revisions.

He said that the process ensures that eligible citizens are able to vote while preventing inaccuracies in voter lists, strengthening the credibility of elections.

The statements come at a time when voter list revisions have become a topic of political discussion in several states, including West Bengal, where large scale deletions have drawn attention and debate.

Jogaram Patel’s remarks highlight the government’s dual focus on managing global challenges while also ensuring transparency and accuracy in domestic electoral processes.
