CM Yogi to Unveil 48 Development Projects in Bithoor-Bilhaur with an Investment of 411 Crore

Date:

On the occasion of Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Kanpur today, Monday. During his visit, the Chief Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for 48 development projects worth over Rs 411 crore for the Bithoor and Bilhaur assembly constituencies.

This includes the inauguration of projects costing approximately Rs 266 crore and the laying of foundation stones for development works worth about Rs 145 crore. Certificates will also be distributed to beneficiaries of various government schemes during the event. The administration has completed all preparations for the Chief Minister’s visit.

The proposed development works in the Bithoor and Bilhaur assembly constituencies encompass road construction, connecting roads, the development of schools, training centres, government buildings, and other basic infrastructure. In the Bilhaur area, projects related to various roads, rural connecting routes, and educational facilities will be inaugurated. Similarly, in the Bithoor area, the inauguration and foundation stone laying for several projects—covering roads, education, and other public amenities—are planned.

The projects include the construction of roads and connecting routes, as well as school buildings, training centers, and facilities for police and administrative services. The objective of these initiatives is to improve connectivity in the region and provide citizens with better basic infrastructure.

The event, held on the occasion of Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti, will commemorate the life of Maharshi Valmiki, his literary contributions, and his authorship of the Ramayana. It will also highlight the significance of his ideas and ideals in contemporary society. Furthermore, the event will emphasise the contributions of the Valmiki community and the message of social harmony.

Extensive security arrangements have been made in light of the Chief Minister’s visit. Approximately 500 police personnel will be deployed at the event venue and its surrounding areas. Police officers have been tasked with overseeing security, with additional surveillance to be conducted via drones. Arrangements for security and traffic management have been put in place from the helipad to the venue of the public meeting.

The administration’s primary focus is to ensure that the event is conducted in a safe and well-organised manner. The event marking the birth anniversary of Maharshi Valmiki will feature both religious and social activities, while also placing a strong emphasis on development initiatives in Bithoor and Bilhaur. Through the inauguration and foundation-stone laying of 48 projects, the plan is to further advance the ongoing development work in the region.
