Jaipur: Rajasthan has emerged as the leading state in India for the development of high-speed corridors and greenfield expressways, with 1,192 kilometres of completed expressway infrastructure, according to information shared by the Central Government in the Rajya Sabha.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, in a written reply to Parliament, stated that Rajasthan has recorded the highest length of completed high-speed corridors and greenfield expressways among all states.
The milestone highlights Rajasthan’s growing role in India’s infrastructure expansion and is expected to improve regional connectivity, logistics efficiency, trade, tourism, and industrial development.
According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the Central Government has approved 10,389 kilometres of high-speed corridors and greenfield expressways across the country.
