JAIPUR, RAJASTHAN — BJP Rajya Sabha MP Radha Mohan Das Agarwal spoke about the importance of women’s participation in society and supported the implementation of the Women’s Reservation law.
He said that women have played a major role in bringing social change, protecting the environment, and contributing to politics and administration. Despite their strong contribution, he said it is unfortunate that women are still waiting for adequate representation in legislative bodies.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Agarwal said that the introduction of the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam was a major step towards empowering women. He added that the intention behind the law was to ensure that women do not have to wait until 2029 or even later to benefit from reservation.
He emphasised that the goal is to implement the reservation as early as possible, so that women can have greater participation in decision-making at both the national and state levels.
His remarks come amid ongoing political discussions over the Women’s Reservation Act and its timeline for implementation.
Radha Mohan Das Agarwal’s statement highlights the BJP’s focus on accelerating women’s representation in politics and recognising their role in nation-building.
