JAIPUR, RAJASTHAN — Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari attended the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam program in Jaipur, emphasizing the government’s focus on women’s empowerment.
Addressing the gathering, Sharma highlighted the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi toward strengthening the role of women in society. He said that since assuming office in 2014, the Prime Minister has consistently focused on how to enhance women’s empowerment, improve their socio-economic status, and ensure their active participation in nation-building.
Sharma noted that one of the earliest initiatives in this direction was the launch of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, aimed at promoting the education and welfare of the girl child. He подчеркнул that such initiatives have played a crucial role in changing societal attitudes and creating opportunities for women across the country.
The Chief Minister подчеркнул that women are increasingly becoming key contributors to economic growth and social development, and policies like the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam are designed to further strengthen their role in governance and decision-making.
The programme brought together leaders and participants to discuss the importance of increasing women’s representation in legislative bodies, in line with the broader push for 33% reservation for women in Parliament and state assemblies.
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari also participated in the event, which focused on encouraging greater inclusion of women in politics and public life, reflecting a nationwide conversation around gender equality and empowerment.
The event underscored the government’s emphasis on women-led development, highlighting ongoing initiatives aimed at ensuring that women play a central role in shaping India’s future.
