Ashok Gehlot Targets Rajasthan Government, Questions Delay in Governance….

Jaipur, Rajasthan, India

Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot launched a sharp attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in Rajasthan, accusing it of avoiding accountability and delaying governance.

Speaking in Jaipur, Gehlot criticized the state leadership for not responding to his remarks on what he described as “intezaar shastra”, a phrase he used to highlight alleged inaction by the current administration. “The BJP leaders and the Chief Minister are not answering on my ‘intezaar shastra’, but they don’t want to answer us,” he said.

He emphasized the role of the opposition in holding the government accountable, stating that raising questions in public interest is both necessary and justified. “The opposition will definitely question them in public interest, and it is their responsibility to answer,” Gehlot asserted.

Taking his criticism further, the Congress leader expressed concern over what he sees as a lack of visible progress in governance. “We are not able to understand when they will start working,” he remarked, questioning the pace and effectiveness of the ruling administration’s actions.

The comments come amid ongoing political exchanges in Rajasthan, where both the ruling party and the opposition have been actively engaging in public discourse over governance, development, and accountability.

Gehlot’s remarks underline the intensifying political debate in the state, with the opposition pressing for answers while the spotlight remains on the government’s performance and delivery.
